Fragrance items require specialized packaging because perfume bottles are glass, heavy, and fragile. This guide covers how to design safe, premium rigid structural layouts that protect your fragrance products while maintaining a luxury aesthetic.
1. High-Density EVA & Velvet Foam Inserts
Standard paper card inserts are often insufficient to hold glass perfume bottles securely during maritime and air transit. We recommend high-density EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) foam inserts wrapped in black or custom velvet. This absorbs shock, holds the bottles snugly, and provides a beautiful contrast to glass bottles.
2. Heavy-Duty Double-Magnetic Hinge Closures
Since fine fragrances are heavy, the box's spine and doors must be reinforced with thicker cardboard (minimum 1800gsm) and double-layer cloth-reinforced hinges to prevent sagging and ensure crisp opening and closing mechanics.
